Childhood and Family Stress

Sometimes, you may not know how you feel. You may have even forgotten how to feel. Your job is to show up and be whatever “you” you can bring. We will start there. We can make it work.

Sometimes, you may be afraid to talk about something that is too painful or hard. You may not even have the words at all. We can start there.

Sometimes, you may have labels for what you are experiencing (Anxiety, Depression). You may not have the language to describe your “problems” or experiences. That’s okay too. We can start there.

We can start wherever you are and find a way forward together.

trauma comes back as a reaction, not a memory.

The therapist and client “good fit” is the biggest predictor in you getting what you deserve out of therapy. Therefore, if we, together, decide there may be a better fit elsewhere, I will support you with some ideas and resources to keep you moving forward.

Insurance

I do not directly bill any insurance companies, but I am more than happy to provide you with documentation to submit to your insurance company for out-of-network reimbursement. However, I highly recommend considering the benefits of not utilizing insurance for your mental health. You can find more info about that on my Info page here.

Sliding Scale

I have limited sliding scale spots available. Please reach out to me to inquire about sliding scale availability. You can access my contact form here.

 Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept insurance?

While I do not accept insurance, I am considered an ‘out-of-network’ provider for many insurances. There are often reimbursement options detailed on my Info page, which you can access here.

Are you offering in-person or virtual services?

I am excited to be providing in-person and online therapy at this time.

I live outside of North Carolina, Missouri, or Florida. Can I still seek services with you?

At this time, mental health roviders are licensed state-by-state and these are the only states I am “virtually practicing” in at this time.

Are there any benefits to not using insurance for therapy?

Yes! There are several benefits that come with not involving insurance companies that I detail on my Info page, which you can access here.
