Being understood changes everything.
You’ve been working hard to make things better.
You care a lot. You feel things deeply. You notice things other people might not. And you’ve probably put a lot of energy into figuring out how to navigate work, home, relationships, expectations, and everything in between.
You’ve tried to make things better.
You’ve tried to understand yourself. You’ve tried different strategies. You’ve worked hard to respond differently, communicate better, manage overwhelm, and move through difficult experiences.
And yet, sometimes things still feel harder than they should.
You may have strong reactions that make complete sense in the moment—but afterward leave you feeling guilty, overwhelmed, alone, or misunderstood.
You may find yourself thinking:
Why did that affect me so much?
Why can’t I just handle this differently?
I know what I want to do. Why is it so hard to actually do it?
Maybe you’ve worked through some really difficult things—family experiences, relationship challenges, trauma, or other experiences that have shaped you.
And maybe you’re tired of having to work so hard just to feel okay.
You may still feel like life isn’t as stable or predictable as you’d like. Like you’re constantly trying to keep up, recover, adjust, or prepare for what might happen next.
You might also worry about what would happen if people really knew what you were thinking or feeling.
Would they understand?
Would they judge you?
Would they think you’re too much?
Would they leave?
You know something needs to change.
You just may not know exactly what needs to change—or how to make things feel different without having to become someone you’re not.
HI! I’m Dr. Allie
Deep changes occur when you feel safe and are accepted however you show up. Our relationship will be built on authenticity (real-ness) and compassionate directness in exploring what has led you to where you are and how create a space for the “you” you’ve always been and want to become.
I have spent over the past 15 years learning advanced techniques, providing trauma therapy, and teaching new therapists how to heal trauma without making it worse. The old way-“you must talk about it”-isn’t the only way and in fact, can make it worse if your mind and body aren’t ready, too.
The good news? Relief is possible. Hurt that happens between two people heals between people in the space that we create just for you.
My Approach
I am dedicated to helping people understand how they are stronger and are more resilient than they realize.
You are doing the best you can with what you have. There are many things that you have learned that have served you and kept you alive. And, now, they may be leaving you feeling more disconnected and alone.
Together, we will create a space for healing that is personalized and powerful in the moment — but more importantly, a space where you will gain insight and understanding which empower you to turn your growth into action.
How can I support you?
